To ensure a minimum wall insulation, count on 12 cm to 18 cm average thickness
Performance isolation and differences between types of beads.
The insulation unit of measurement for beads is calculated by the lambda (λ) value, which represents thermal conductivity.
The lower this value, the more efficient the insulation.
IMPORTANT: There are different types of polystyrene beads.

New white marbles insulate better (Are M1 FIRE-PROOF) than recycled graphite marbles. They are very easy to spot, they are perfectly round and dust-free.
The recycled black graphite polystyrene insulates poorly and resists temperature variations poorly, promoting condensation and mold. Some sellers sell it as new: stay vigilant and choose new beads for reliable insulation.
The recycled graphite balls for insulation contain graphite, have a lower insulation value and are not M1 FIREPROOF, they can sometimes pose a fire risk. They are easily recognizable by the shape of the ball which is broken or deformed with dust.
